Academic Coaching provides respectful, responsive, informed support for students to identify and achieve their academic and professional goals.
The part-time Academic Coach will work directly with GT undergraduate students within the College of Computing to enhance their academic skills, gain confidence, discover motivation, and improve performance. She/he/they will report to the CoC’s advising team, and she/he/they will have a regular caseload of students attending Academic Coaching.
The Academic Coach will facilitate and assist with the implementation of innovative approaches to improve the retention, persistence, and graduation of undergraduate students at Georgia Tech. The ideal candidate will also have experience working with high achieving students as well as have excellent active listening skills, though this is an opportunity open for all to apply.
Responsibilities: The Academic Coach will provide direct coaching services to students in the Academic Coaching Program. In particular, she/he/they will:
1. Work a maximum of 15 hours per week; For example, 11 hours in direct coaching services and 4 hours in weekly training, documentation, outreach, and events. The direct coaching hours can be done in a virtual setting or in person.
2. Attend training sessions and best practices meetings.
3. Assist with the development and implementations of programs to facilitate student transition and learning.
4. Perform other duties as assigned in support of the College of Computing.
Credentials and Experience: The ideal candidate will
1. Be enrolled and in good standing in a program at Georgia Tech or another USG institution.
2. Have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and to collaborate and consult with academic advisors on issues related to student learning and success.
3. Be a detailed-oriented professional with strong organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
4. Have experience working with students or peers in a tutoring, mentoring, or leadership capacity.
5. Possess an understanding of learning skills and strategies needed to support academic development in college, particularly with high achieving students majoring in STEM fields.
Rates: Pay for this position is $14/hr.

as an IT Training Content Creator. In this position, you will play a vital role in supporting OIT by creating
high-quality training materials and knowledge articles for the GT community. This position involves working
collaboratively with team members to address training needs for applications supported by OIT and
producing concise and effective training videos.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with team members and management to assess training needs for applications and
services supported by OIT.

Key Responsibilities:

The Student Assistant will support the K-12 InVenture Prize team at CEISMC by providing administrative, logistical, and event assistance. This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in project management, develop professional skills, and work closely with a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document management.
Support event planning and coordination, including scheduling, setting up, and managing resources.
Help with research and data collection for various projects.
Prepare and distribute communications, such as emails, newsletters, and social media updates.
Provide technical support for presentations, meetings, and workshops.
Assist with inventory management and organizing supplies.
Collaborate with team members on special projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Experience working with K-12 students (specially with K-12 InVenture Prize or GT InVenture Prize)
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

We are hiring for Summer and Year-round lifeguards
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prevent accidents and eliminate or minimize hazardous situations.
• Maintain vigilance of guests/swimmers by consistently scanning swimmer protection zones to maintain the '10/20 Protection Rule'
• Enforce safety rules, riding instructions and regulations for the safety of guests/swimmers
• Render aid by rescuing distressed swimmers
• Provide first aid and emergency care for guests/swimmers who suffer injuries or sudden illness
• Test and check for proper water chemistry according to state and local guidelines
• Perform daily facility maintenance and sanitation duties to provide and maintain a safe and aesthetically inviting aquatic facility for guests/swimmers
• Maintain passing scores and proper safety standards during on-the-job visual, unannounced lifeguard evaluations
• Attend a monthly in-service training meeting
• Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
• Lifeguard must possess a valid American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification.
We offer this certification class monthly at the McAuley Aquatic Center for the cost of $38 to include the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, CPR, AED, and Oxygen Administration. All materials will be provided for the course included in your course fee. The course is a blend of 20 hrs of online modules and 16 hours (typically 4 x 4-hr evening sessions) of in-class/pool instruction.
QUALIFICATIONS TO TAKE LIFEGUARD CLASS
An individual must be at least 16 years of age or older and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to enter the course and must be demonstrated prior to class participation.
• Lifeguard candidate must be able to continuously swim a distance of 300 yards (without resting) using the front crawl and/or breaststroke
• Lifeguard candidate must be able to tread water without using hands in deep water for two minutes
• Lifeguard candidate must be able to recover a 10 pound weight from eight feet (17') water depth
POSITION PAY
• $14/hr to start
• $14-$18/hr for positions as guards apply and get selected for promotions to Supervisor and Instructor
• Additional $4/hr for meet shifts.
• All required uniforms for this position are provided by the CRC as part of your employment
